Attendance / Absence Procedures
If your child is ill or will not be attending school you will need to let us know.
Please inform the office by 8.45 am on the number below and selecting Option 1:
If your child is not in school and you have not informed us, you will receive a message or a phone call from us asking why your child isn't at school. If you then do not respond, a member of the Pastoral Team will follow up our enquiry with a door knock at your child's registered address.
It is important your child attends school all the time. The DfE advise that your child's attendance should be at least 96%. This is the equivalent to missing just 7 days. To see the full impact of missing school please follow the link to Every Day Counts.
Should your child's attendance fall below 90% in any given year, you will receive a letter asking you to attend a meeting to see how we can support you and your child/children in improving their attendance.
